Manvinder’s practice covers diverse areas of corporate commercial law including foreign investment, joint ventures, private equity and matters involving asset purchase / business transfer. He has advised several Indian and foreign companies in structuring acquisitions or investments and has given advice on corporate restructuring.
Manvinder has assisted various foreign companies in making applications to set up Indian entities, and help them apply to RBI and various sector regulators such as IRDA and DoT, etc. for setting up branches and seeking various clarifications.
He has drafted and negotiated various corporate commercial agreements including technology license agreements, employment and non-compete agreements, management fee agreements, escrow agreements, vendor / procurement contracts, distribution and sale agreements, real estate-conveyance and development agreements, lease deeds, license agreements, hotel management agreements, franchise agreements, consultancy and various service agreements.
He has further assisted companies in developing and maintaining compliance systems and conducted compliance audits. He has been advising various companies in relation to compliance with the Companies Act, SEBI Regulations, listing regulations and has also helped some of them in implementing corporate governance norms.
Prior to joining JSA, Manvinder worked with some of the leading law firms in India. He was also an in-house legal counsel of an upstream oil and gas company listed on BSE.
