Shailesh’s key focus area is dispute resolution, arbitration, civil litigation, criminal litigation and real estate. He has advised and assisted clients from the start of a dispute, strategised the litigation process and prosecuted and/or defended proceedings in various courts and forums.
He specialises in dispute resolution that includes litigation and arbitration in diverse areas of corporate & commercial disputes, particularly related to mining, transportation - ports, oil & gas sectors. Shailesh practices primarily in the High Court(s), Company Law Board/National Company Law Tribunal and various Arbitral Tribunals.
He has appeared before numerous courts including the Debt Recovery Tribunal/Appellate Tribunal, District Courts, Magistrate and Sessions Court, Labour Commissioner, Land Revenue Authorities as well as Central Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal.
Shailesh has advised clients on corporate scheme/merger matters under the Companies Act and has appeared in such scheme matters before the High Court.
He had represented the promoters of National Spot Exchange Limited in NSEL matters before the High Court of Bombay. He has exclusive experience in handling disputes in the High Courts and in white collar criminal matters.
In the real estate sector, Shailesh has drafted documents for sale or purchase of immovable property, lease of immovable property, conveyances, agreements for sale and deed of transfer. He also acts in stamp duty matter and family settlements.
