Sherill focuses on compliance and regulatory issues in the information technology and fintech sector, as well as gambling and leisure industry.
She regularly advises clients on various aspects of technology law including data protection and e-commerce issues. She has extensively advised and assisted clients on product and service offerings, including payment structures, direct carrier billing systems and arrangements with payment aggregators, digital enablement service platforms, hub-based domestic person-to-person money remittance technology solutions and products for financial inclusion, among others.
Sherill has particular expertise in gambling regulations, a broad range of commercial gambling matters, and, more recently has also been involved in related fields such as online gaming, skill & social gaming and gamification, rewards and loyalty programs.
She advises and assists clients in connection with licensing, compliance and enforcement issues, categorisation of contests as games of chance or skill, and on regulatory aspects of sports betting, lucky-draws, lotteries and gift schemes.
She further assists clients in negotiating and documenting commercial contracts, including software development agreements, services agreements, vendor/supplier contracts, franchising agreements, employment contracts, consulting contracts and confidentiality agreements.
Sherill has been a practising attorney since 2011 and has worked with IndusLaw, prior to joining JSA.
