Anish Mashruwala

Anish Mashruwala, Partner, JSA

Anish is the current Co-Chair of the Finance Practice at JSA and heads the Banking & Finance group. He also focuses on Cross Border Investments & Acquisitions. He has extensive international experience in finance related transactions and in particular Structured Finance, Securitisation and Derivatives and all manner of Bank Lending (secured, limited recourse and syndicated). His Banking & Finance practice also covers Security creation, Refinancing of Debt, Debt Restructuring, Unlisted Debt and General Banking Products.

Anish also advises clients on exchange control and banking regulations in relation to debt financing transactions.

As part of his corporate practice, Anish has acted and advised clients – both on the buy side and sell side – in strategic private acquisitions.

Anish is also in charge of the Trade Finance practice of the firm and regularly advises several banks and corporates in relation to various trade finance structures and transactions.

Prior to joining JSA, Anish was a Senior Associate with Hengeler Mueller, Germany’s premier law firm. He also worked in the United States as an Associate with Thompson Hine LLP in their Washington D.C. office.

Anish completed his LL.B. from ILS Law College, Pune ranking first in the university and has an LL.M. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor where he was representative on the Student Senate. He is qualified as an attorney in New York and as a solicitor on the roll of the Law Society of England & Wales.
