Citi, Crédit Agricole, Standard Chartered Bank provides re-financing for World Bank Loan by State Bank of India

JSA advised as Indian law counsel to the lender consortium comprising of Citibank N.A., Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank and Standard Chartered Bank (“Lenders”) in relation to a financing, aggregating to USD 200,000,000, to State Bank of India (“SBI”) (acting through its Hong Kong branch) supported by a guarantee from the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (“MIGA”).

The loan was granted for refinancing of existing loans availed by SBI from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank) which was originally utilised for their grid-connected rooftop solar program.
